  Bacon & chive white sauce
 
Yield: 1 Servings
 
2 sl Bacon cooked and crumbled      2 tb Butter or margarine
2 tb All-purpose flour      1 c Milk
1 ts Chopped chives      1/2 ts Salt
 1. Prepare bacon and set aside. 2. Melt butter in a 1-quart glass measuring picher in mirowave oven (about 30 seconds at High). Add flour; mix until smooth. Add milk gradually stirring constantly. 3. Cook uncovered in microwave oven 4 minutes at High or until thickened; stir after 2 minutes then every 30 seconds. 4. Add crumbled bacon chives and salt; stir. Serve over fresh vegetables. Yield: About 1 cup. SOURCE: Adventures in Microwave Cooking
