  Maple walnut pie
 
Yield: 1 Servings
 
2 tb Butter      1/4 c Flour
1 c Maple syrup      1/2 c Water (use freash maple sap
3/4 c Walnut halves or pieces      1 x Pastry for one 8" or 9" pie
 Melt butter in small saucepan. Add flour all at once. Cook stirring constantly until mixture is golden brown. Add syrup and water and cook whisking constantly until thickened. Allow to cool for 10 minutes. Add nuts. Pour warm filling into prepared pie shell. Bake at 350ø on center rack of oven for 35 to 40 minutes or until filling is set and crust is golden brown.
